Fascias, soffits, gutters and downpipes play an important role in keeping your home watertight and structurally sound.
Damaged soffits and fascias not only look unsightly, but they can also let in water, causing dampness. Broken gutters and downpipes can cause flooding, which, if left unchecked, can impact the structural integrity of your home. Pristine Coatings are cost effective and can help replace these for you across the central belt of Scotland and keep your home or building safe and secure from any water damage.
So, it’s important you keep these key pieces of equipment in good working order. As part of our roof renovations service, we supply and install in all colours and sizes fascia boards, soffits, gutters and downpipes. Which give you a virtually maintenance free solution with our replacement uPVC products. For more information about each of these services, and protecting your home check out the services below.
Replacement Fascia boards
Fascia boards run along the lower edge of the roof where they support the lower roof tiles and provide a fixing point for guttering. It is vital fascia boards are kept in good condition because failure can impact both the structural rigidity of the roof and cause guttering to fail.
Most fascias are made from wood, which requires regular maintenance to prevent rot. Our replacement fascia boards are made from uPVC, which is much more durable than wood and doesn’t require any maintenance. uPVC fascias and finishing trims are also easy to clean from the ground, so you can keep your home looking immaculate safely.
Soffits sit under the fascia boards to provide a watertight seal between the roof trusses and the exterior wall. Vented Soffits help to prevent water ingress, thereby protecting roof timbers and stopping water from running down the cavity between the exterior and interior walls.
Much like fascia boards, most soffits are made from wood, which is prone to rot. We replace wooden soffits with uPVC soffits, which doesn’t require maintenance. Our replacement soffits are available in a range of colours and finishes and are ventilated to allow air to circulate the roof space, reducing the risk of condensation.
Gutters are used to collect rainwater as it runs off the roof before feeding it into the downpipe. Gutter system failure can result in water running uncontrollably off the roof and flooding the garden. If left unchecked, without any regular gutter cleaning this can cause structural damage to your home, which will be expensive to repair.
We supply and install a wide range of replacement gutters made from hard-wearing uPVC plastic. These are available in a range of colours and finishes to suit your home. All new gutters are also fixed using durable brackets to reduce the risk of damage and can be fitted with optional leaf guards to prevent blockages.
Downpipes are used to remove excess water from the gutters before feeding it into the drain. Damaged, blocked or badly installed downpipes can cause the gutters to overflow, causing flooding, so these important pieces of equipment must be well maintained and replaced if damaged.
We can supply and install a wide range of maintenance-free new uPVC downpipes. Our experienced team of installers will also take care to ensure the downpipes are sized and positioned correctly so that they can efficiently remove water from the roof. Incorrectly positioned downpipes are a leading cause of gutter failure that can affect your drainage system.
