A large property with solar panels on the roof. On inspection there was evidence of moss overgrowth both on the roof and on the solar panels. There was also some evidence of birds starting to create nesting under the solar panels.
The Job
On inspection of the roof it was noted that substantial moss growth was evident and that some of this moss was falling into the surrounding foliage. There were also several cracked tiles.
The moss was completely removed from the roof whilst protecting the surrounding garden area with a sheet covering. Five of the damaged tiles were replaced. A protective biochemical coating was then applied to inhibit further moss growth and finally a Stoker Grey, Kolourseal polymer roof coating applied (which has a ten year guarantee), leaving the roof protected from the elements and looking pristine.
